The first stage of designing your
website involves you telling us what
you want.
How would you like your site to look?
Are there example sites that you can
show us that you like the look of? Or
sites you don’t like? What colours
should we use?
How about navigation? Would you
like your menu to be along the top?
or down the side? Do you need a sub
menu? How about dropdown menus?
What are your goals from the site?
Do you hope to generate enquiries?
Or a quotation? Or perhaps you wish
to take orders directly via the site? Or
maybe you want your visitors to
subscribe to your newsletter or
download an eBook?
templates to talk to the “backend”
content management system, taking
information directly from the
database.
Add Content, Test and Go Live
Norrmally, we will add your content
for you. When we have completed
this, we will test that everything is
working properly and then as soon as
you have given the go ahead, make
the site live.
Based on our initial discussions, we
will prepare a couple of mock layouts
for you to look at. Based on your
feedback on these, we will then
prepare the final designs. Most
probably this will involve a template
for the Home Page and another for
the inner pages of the site.
The design will reflect your goals for
the website, aiming to encourage
your website visitors to do what you
want them to do, “converting” them
from just visitors to your “prospects”
or “customers”.
When you have approved the final
design we will proceed to the
database integration. This involves
programming the “frontend” website
.
